Whether you’re into saving the world by pedaling around town on two wheels or tallying up a monstrous carbon footprint by putting that pedal to your hot rod’s metal, we can all agree that wheels do indeed make the world go ’round. Just in time for this weekend’s Wheels and Waves (which takes over State Street with a cruise and car show), as well as CycleMAYnia (an entire month dedicated to the stylish sustainability of the bicycle), we’ve decided to reflect on that reality with this week’s issue. So read on now, and roll on later.

There must have been a law enforcement stand-down-order in this celebration of these privileged axles and tailpipes. From Alston Rd to the Sea, and Alan Rd. to Highway 101 it was an idiotic cacophony of mostly immature full-throttled adult males on their pastimes and in their toys. All for the benefit of questionable non-profits. The start of the year, of the big F-U, to the lip-service Slow Down Santa Barbara and other reasonable policies, laws, codes, civil codes and just ordinary civics. Good reporting there pseudonym'd Indy Staff.

Indeed, Don. The whole ugly affair is a crime against the community. These self centered belligerents remind me more and more of the self righteous aggressive behavior of the distant Taliban we are so busy sending our troops to do battle with. Ah, but I believe that is why our patriotic young people are sent to distant places, so others can run amok here at home.

It's a problem endemic with today's senior citizens, wild in the streets!

Donny, Donny, Donny, how typically envious of you. Jeez man, let the bitterness roll (no pun intended). You just hate everything don't you? It's alright dude, hank loves you. Well, @ least I didn't say Jesus loves you because as a Marxist you might get hurt. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL! VROOOM! :) henry
