Girls Rock SB! (GRSB) will host a concert, “Rock the House,” on March 12, 2014 at the SOhO Restaurant and Music Venue in Santa Barbara, California. The participants in GRSB’s winter After School and Amplify programs, including three special guests from past programs, will showcase their progress over the course of the program, performing their own original songs during a fun and rocking night of music.
The Girls Rock After School and Amplify programs are 8-week programs during which girls from 1st to 12th grades learn how to play instruments and write music, and then form bands to write and perform their own original songs. Students also attend workshops geared towards self-expression and confidence building, including Music Herstory, Zine & Comic Making, Healthy Relationships and Break-Dancing. This winter, for the first time, participants got the chance to record their songs in the Notes 4 Notes Music Box Studios.
Girls Rock SB! is a nonprofit organization that empowers young women through music education and expression. Girls Rock after school and summer camp programs provide a welcoming environment for girls between the ages of 8 and 17 to learn instruments, write songs, and rock out on stage; no previous music experience is necessary, and all musical instruments are provided by Girls Rock! The organization promotes self-esteem as well as team-building and leadership skills in women.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Benjamin Stowell Kendall found the guitar in the fall of 1999 at age 18.
The Agreeables - Santa Barbara indie-rockers The Agreeables are on a mission to save the world one melody at a time. Fans have called their music "chillaxin'", "unique", "fun", and "Southern California's answer to Chumbawumba."
