UCSBigger: Will UCSB’s Expansion Be a Dream or Spell Disaster? (Matt Kettmann)
Brent Elder
WE’RE BIG IN BELFAST: While visiting Northern Ireland’s capital city to present at a conference on sustainable education, Brent Elder—who’s been reading The Indy for six years and writing occasionally for us since 2007—brought along a copy of the paper and posed for this shot while on a “Black Taxi” tour of political murals throughout Belfast’s Protestant and Catholic neighborhoods. “The Indy seemed to fit well with Belfast’s recent significant history,” said Brent, who enjoys our crime reports, music news, and focus on local issues.
